Los Angeles, CA (Dec. 14, 2017) – Continuing its dedication to broadcasting the most live mixed martial arts on U.S. television, AXS TV FIGHTS has renewed agreements with Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) and Classic Entertainment & Sports (CES) MMA for 2018, announced AXS TV FIGHTS CEO Andrew Simon.
Veteran MMA broadcaster Ron Kruck will join UFC Hall of Famer and longtime AXS TV FIGHTS color commentator Pat Miletich in the broadcast booth; while cage-side reporter Phoenix Carnevale will conduct exclusive behind-the-scenes and post-fight interviews for the event broadcasts.
Going into its 15th year of combat sports broadcasting, AXS TV FIGHTS continues to lead the domestic TV industry in total live MMA with over 100 hours of live coverage scheduled on Friday nights in 2018. AXS TV FIGHTS plans to televise its broadcasts at 9pE/6pP unless the show takes place in the Pacific Time Zone. For those West Coast events, AXS TV FIGHTS will start at 10pE/7pP. Looking ahead, AXS TV FIGHTS will celebrate its historic 400th event broadcast in the second quarter of 2018.
AXS TV FIGHTS launches its packed 2018 schedule on Friday, Jan. 12 at 10pE/7pP with LFA’s record-breaking 30th televised event, which makes them the fastest promotion in MMA history to hold 30 events. Broadcast live from the Costa Mesa Hall at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, California, LFA 30 features a main event welterweight battle between top contenders Curtis Millender (13-3) and Nick Barnes (12-2).
CES MMA, the premier East Coast mixed martial arts organization, returns to the network on Feb. 2 at 9pE6pP to kick off their fifth year on the network.
AXS TV FIGHTS closes out 2017 with LFA 29 this Friday, Dec. 15 at 9pE/6pP featuring the headlining bantamweight title fight between Chico Camus and Ricky Simon from the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake, Minnesota.
“For over 15 years, we have built our network to be the place for fighters to get discovered in the world of MMA, and with 2018’s stacked schedule, the tradition is set to continue,” said Simon. “Ron Kruck has been an integral part of our team from the beginning and it is only fitting he will call our 400th event alongside one of MMA’s greatest legends Pat Miletich.”
